Our mission is to promote the importance of exercise sciences in relation to dance, with the aim of improving the quality of life for dancers in technical, muscular, and mental aspects. Through a series of protocols that encompass scientific information and research, body awareness exercises, and a certified training method to stimulate muscular strength and prevent injuries, Moving Bodies invites all dancers to initiate change from within themselves: To know in order to be recognized.

MOVING BODIES "BACK TO BASIC" - MAXIMIZA TU TÉCNICA

This first Moving Bodies protocol is structured upon two pillars that focus on movement awareness and increased muscular strength. Movement awareness is the cornerstone of the protocol, enabling us to manage, understand, position our body, our energy, and our emotions. On the other hand, as a training professional and a professional dancer, aware of the shortcomings of our discipline, I introduce the science of sports to the dance world. In this case, the importance of stimulating muscular strength, its benefits, and how to stimulate it without reaching a state of over-training. Grasping the science of sports will help us reset our minds and address the mental «mistakes» that this profession can foster.

It’s important to specify that all scientific information present in the protocol is for educational purposes; it contains scientific information and guidance within my specialized field. What I can advise in the protocol neither intends nor can replace the opinion of a medical professional.

MISSION

This first protocol aims to improve the quality of life of dancers through careful scientific information. Often in dance studios, we hear absurd theories about how the human body works or how we should be physically based on a teacher or a famous dancer’s statements. This is absurd! This inaugural edition of Moving Bodies compiles all the fundamental scientific information necessary for dancers’ health and introduces practical exercises to become our «our own guide», preventing injuries and assessing our physical capabilities each day.

MOVING BODIES PHILOSOPHY

The philosophy of Moving Bodies is rooted in the commitment to enrich dancers’ lives through a holistic and scientific approach. We believe that dance is not just art, but an intimate connection between body and mind. Our first protocol is grounded in three essential concepts: strength training, body awareness, and scientific knowledge. We have meticulously gathered relevant data to provide dancers with a profound understanding of how to maintain their bodies healthy and resilient. This knowledge translates into practices that minimize the risk of injuries, increasing the likelihood of a long career and enduring quality of life. Moving Bodies is knowledge and support for dancers. Our philosophy promotes self-exploration, empowerment, and longevity in dance. Each step toward self-improvement is a testament to our belief.
